Full Job Description

Supporta Care is a leading provider of contract recruitment services for the Housing Support industry with South Yorkshire.

Due to anticipated demand we require suitably experienced Support Workers who can provide high quality support to people with a Learning Disability and Physical Disabilities.

The Role:

• Provide support on daily living tasks
• Help with social inclusion
• Shopping
• Support on maintaining tenants independence

The Person we look for;
• Can value the rights of a person with a Learning Disability
• Good understanding of the needs of people with a Learning Disability
• Ideally have experience of working with people with a Learning Disability

Skill we look for:
• Can support people to make the best use of their abilities
• Can explain information clearly to people
• Be a good listener
• Can put peoples needs first before themselves
• Can take initiative and make decisions
Particulars of the role
• Can work flexible to meet the needs of tenants
• Willing to undertake personal care needs when and if needed.
• Work weekends and sleep in sessions
• To undertake training as requested by Supporta Care
