Skills for Life Support Coordinator

Office based with the need to travel to support learners

The Employability and Skills Group (esg) are currently recruiting for a versatile Skills for Life Support Coordinator who stands out from the rest.

The Job:
Supporting, planning and monitoring the Skills for Life delivery throughout the diverse vocational programmes within the esg group.
Delivery of Skills for Life training within the corporate induction and monitoring the return of training materials.
Attend team meetings to promote and support the delivery of Skills for Life within each team.
Monitor and support all Training and Assessment staffs personal Literacy and Numeracy skills and deliver training where necessary to ensure all staff meet the levels required.
Travelling within the region to different workplaces to support learners with their Key Skills and Literacy and Numeracy Skills for Life Qualifications.
Designing training interventions to support learners within the Key Skills and Skills for Life Programme.
You will research and develop training sessions across all sites to meet learner needs, providing advice and support throughout the learners agreed programme.

The Person:
The successful candidate will have an enthusiasm to help and support along with a willingness to mentor our learners and staff. A proven knowledge and experience of delivering and supporting learners to enable them to overcome any barriers to learning and the capability to deliver the support in a variety of environments along with the natural ability to adapting your teaching style to meet each individuals needs is essential. The successful candidate must have excellent time management, administration and report compiling skills and have the ability to converse with all members of the Training and Assessment team, they must also have experience and confidence in designing and professional delivery of a range of innovative and motivational training using a variety of medias.

Requirements:
A-C GCSE’s or Key Skills Level 2 or above
Experinece of supporting and coordinating Skills for Life and Key Skills programmes
Willingness to travel
Adaptable
Exemplary Organisational and Planning Skills
Driving Licence and Own Transport
IT Literate
Be able to work well alone or as part of a team
All successful applicants will be subject to a CRB check
Subject specialism level 4 qualification or equivalent
